The Town Council and Mayor in office at the time of the adoption of the amendment to Article II, Section 2.1, shall continue at their salaries as set forth in Article III, Section 3.4, to serve and carry out the functions, powers and duties of their offices, unless removed for cause, until the inauguration of the first members of the Town Council elected pursuant to the amendment to Article II, Section 2.1.
