The Mayor and Councilpersons shall receive compensation as may be determined by the Town Council by ordinance. Compensation for the Mayor and councilpersons may be increased or decreased by ordinance; provided, however, that salary or other compensation shall not be increased or decreased for the Mayor or any Councilperson during their term of office.
