Sec. 13-2-85. Discounted service for elderly very low income residents.
(a) There shall be a fifty percent (50%) discount on residential water and wastewater base service charges up to the monthly base rate for any residential water-using or sewer-using unit inhabited by elderly very low income residents.
(b) Above the base number of gallons, the charges will correspond to the approved rate structure.
(c) Discount is applicable only if:
(1) The elderly very low income individual is in residence and is the rate payer of water and wastewater services; and
(2) The gross household income from any and all sources does not exceed the very low income threshold; and
(3) The elderly very low income rate-paying resident has submitted an application demonstrating both elderly and very low income eligibility that has been approved by the Town’s Finance Department. (Ord. 1476 § 1(2), 2019; Ord. 1581 §2, 2023)
