For the purposes of this Article, unless otherwise apparent from the context, certain words and phrases used in this Article are defined as follows:

Glider pilot means a person who has met all of the requirements and passed the required tests as set by the HGPA and holds a HGPA pilot rating to operate a hang glider or paraglider.

Hang glider or paraglider means nonmotorized aircraft used in the recreational sport of hang gliding or paragliding.

Telluride Air Force is the nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the state of Colorado for the purpose of promoting and regulating hang gliding and paragliding in the Town of Telluride.

Hang Gliding and/or Paragliding Association (HGPA) means a nationally or internationally recognized association of hang glider and paraglider pilots committed to the development, promotion and protection of hang gliding and paragliding activities in its respective jurisdiction, and the maintenance of an organizational framework for instructor and pilot training and pilot rating certification.
