(a) Meters shall be the type and model designated by the Town Manager and installed in compliance with the Uniform Plumbing Code adopted by the Town and the policies and procedures promulgated by the Town Manager. Such meters shall have data transmitter devices and may, along with backflow prevention devices, be purchased from the Town to ensure uniformity of installation and design.

(b) A meter’s data transmitter device shall be located on the exterior of the premises so as to allow unfettered and safe access for remote reading, removal, inspection, repair, maintenance and replacement.

(c) Meters shall be inspected and approved for operation by the Town Manager upon installation.

(d) All meters shall be installed, approved and working prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy for construction requiring new meters. (Prior code 13.04.130; Ord. 1288 §1, 2008)
