The Council shall appoint an attorney at law admitted to practice in Colorado as the Town Attorney. The Town Attorney shall be the legal representative of the Town, and shall advise the Council, the Manager and Town officials in matters relating to their official powers and duties, and perform such other duties as the Council may prescribe. The Council shall establish compensation for the Town Attorney, and for any assistants or special counsel that the Council may deem necessary to serve under the direction of the Town Attorney.
