(a) The term of office of each regular and alternate public at large member shall be two (2) years, staggered so that approximately one-half (½) of the terms expire each year. Membership from Town boards or commissions shall commence on January 1 of each year, and shall terminate automatically in the event a member resigns or is removed from office with the Town Council or a board or commission of the Town.

(b) Members shall serve as a regular member for no more than eight (8) consecutive years. Members that serve as a regular member for eight consecutive years shall be eligible to reapply for a regular seat on the Commission after a period of two years.
