A person commits impersonating a peace officer or public servant if he or she falsely pretends to be a peace officer or public servant and performs any act whatsoever in that pretended capacity. It is no defense to a prosecution under this Section that the actor pretended to hold an office which did not in fact exist. (Prior code 9.04.020; Ord. 1288 §1, 2008)
